Planning, Design & Development

The Planning, Design & Development Committee has a broad mandate to assist our members and the City of Nanaimo to improve the economic climate in downtown. By encouraging sound planning, sensible regulation, and high-quality design, the PDD Committee helps build a stronger foundation for the future. The PDD Committee's key areas of focus include housing development in the downtown, redevelopment of Terminal Avenue, and technical assistance to downtown property owners.

The PDD committee meets the second Tuesday of each month at 4:30pm at Literacy Central Vancouver Island, 19 Commercial Street.  All committee meetings are open to DNBIA members and the public.
